Our company was formed in 2007 and built on the vision of its three directors, each with a wealth of experience in different disciplines within both the Main and Sub-Contracting arenas
Our Directors are experienced from Tradesman level, through Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management, Site and Project Management, up to Director level, all within the Construction Industry.
Having worked extensively throughout the industry, we realised that the level of service available through recruitment agencies was often unfocused as it dealt with multi-disciplined supply chains, more interested in turnover.
This became particularly apparent with the influx of workers from the widening boundaries of the European Union, where workers who whilst undoubtedly highly skilled, were not properly trained or managed effectively whilst working in the United Kingdom. Our concerns were that little account was taken of their Heath and Safety or indeed general welfare, with pronounced language difficulties further impacting on both operative and client alike.
In our experience neither the Contractors nor the workforce were properly served by that available in the market. Clients required a better level of service, and we decided that as this was not generally available, we would strive to provide that which others did not.
With the increasing skills shortage, there is a requirement to supplement the resource currently available in the United Kingdom, irrespective of the current housing market. This can only be met with properly trained and skilled operatives from the European Union, with the necessary logistical and managerial support.
ATLAS GMS specialises in the sourcing and placement of Construction professionals, trades & labour on a contract, permanent or temporary basis throughout the United Kingdom.
